Connect Xtream Codes to EmeraldIPTV in 10 steps
Understand what each detail does
The server address tells the player where to connect, and it needs its http prefix and sometimes a port number. The username identifies your line. The password authorises it. None of the three is a website login, so there is no page anywhere to sign into with them.
Find the Xtream option in your player
Smarters calls it Login with Xtream Codes API on its first screen. TiViMate offers it when adding a playlist, as an alternative to M3U. Apple players and desktop editions use similar wording. If a player only offers a playlist box, use your M3U link instead.
Type the server address first
Enter it exactly as sent, including http or https and any port after a colon. The single most common error is dropping the prefix, which makes the player unable to connect at all. Do not add a trailing slash unless the message includes one.
Add the username and password
Type them carefully: letter case matters throughout, and both usually mix letters and digits. Watch for the classic confusions, a capital I against a lowercase l, and the digit zero against a capital O. Turn off autocorrect on a phone before typing.
Save and wait for the first load
The player downloads the channel list, guide and library. Give it a minute or two rather than assuming something has failed. When it settles you should have Live, Films and Series sections rather than one flat list, which is the whole point of using Xtream.
Confirm the Irish channels work
Open the Ireland group and start RTE, Virgin Media and TG4. If the sign-in succeeded but nothing plays, the account is fine and the problem is the connection or the route, which is a different fault with a different fix.
Reuse the same details everywhere
The same three items work on every device you own. There is no separate setup per screen and no device registration. Your plan limits how many streams play at once, not how many devices hold the login.
Store the details properly
Put them in a password manager rather than leaving them buried in a chat. You will need them again for every new device, and retyping from a photograph of a television screen is how most sign-in errors begin.
Never share them
Anyone with these three items can use your line, and a line being used from several places at once will hit the screen limit and stop working for you. Sharing is also grounds for the account being disabled, which is set out in the terms.
Ask support before guessing
If three careful attempts fail, send support a photograph of the error message. Guessing at variations wastes an evening. In almost every case the details are correct and something small in the typing is not.
Troubleshooting Xtream Codes: quick fixes for common errors
Invalid credentials appears immediately
The player reached the server and the details were refused, which means a typing error nine times out of ten. Retype rather than paste, check for a trailing space, and test the same details in a desktop player where a real keyboard removes the guesswork.
The player cannot connect at all
That usually means the server address is wrong rather than the credentials. Check the http prefix and any port number after the colon. If the address is right, test on mobile data to see whether the home connection is blocking the route.
It signs in but the list is empty
Give it longer, since the first load can take a couple of minutes on a slow device. If it stays empty, remove the playlist and add it again. A half-completed first load is a common cause and a clean re-add fixes it.
Sections are missing and everything is one long list
That is what an M3U link produces. You have added it as a playlist rather than through Xtream. Remove it and add it again using the Xtream Codes option to get Live, Films and Series separated properly.
It works on one device and not another
Compare what you typed on each. The device that fails almost always has a typing difference. Where both are typed correctly, the failing device may have a wrong clock, which can break secure connections.
The login stopped working suddenly
Check the plan has not simply reached its end date, which is the most common explanation and shows as a rejected login rather than a friendly message. If the term is still running, contact support, since a line can occasionally need resetting.
Too many connections error
Another device on your account is already streaming. Stop playback there, or move to a plan with more screens. This message means the login is working correctly, so it is reassuring rather than a fault.

Common questions about Xtream Codes
Is Xtream Codes a company or a format?
These days it is best thought of as a login format that players support. What matters to you is that three details, entered once, produce organised sections and a guide. No website of ours is signed into with them.
Xtream or M3U: which should I use?
Xtream wherever the player offers it, because it brings proper Live, Films and Series sections plus the guide and catch-up markers. M3U gives one long list with no guide. Use M3U only where a player has no Xtream option, as with Smart IPTV or VLC.
Can I change my password?
Ask support on WhatsApp and they can reissue the line. Bear in mind you will then have to re-enter the new details on every device, so it is worth doing only if you think the old ones have been shared.
Do the details expire?
They stop working when your term ends, since nothing renews automatically. If you order another term before the end date, the same details usually continue, so nothing on your devices needs changing.
Why does it matter that letter case is correct?
Because the server compares the details exactly as typed. A capital letter where a lowercase one belongs is a different password as far as the server is concerned, which is why a phone quietly capitalising the first letter causes so many failed sign-ins.
Is it safe to type these on a shared computer?
Only if you sign out afterwards and clear the browser session. Never save them in a shared browser profile, and never leave the WhatsApp activation message open on a machine other people use.
Can I test the details without installing anything?
Yes, through the web player in a browser. It is the quickest way to confirm the details are right when a television keeps rejecting them, because it separates a typing problem from an account problem in about a minute.
